Inspirata Choir

Inspirata is an unauditioned women’s choir that meets from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday nights in Fairfield. Inspirata was founded by local musician, Connie Lebeau, and is dedicated to providing a quality singing experience to women interested in performing with a choir.

As Connie is on sabbatical this season, Inspirata will be directed by special guest conductor, Signi Murgatroyd, recent recipient of a Masters in Voice from the Victoria Conservatory of Music. The repertoire will be eclectic and is guaranteed to lift your heart and exercise your brain.

The season runs from September to May and, as in past years, will culminate in a Mother’s Day weekend performance with its counterpart choir, Super Soul Sister. Past concerts have included guest performer, singer-songwriter, Connie Kaldor and poet Lorna Crozier.

If you are looking for a quality choir experience, Inspirata will be accepting registration during the month of September. Fees are $50/month September – May. For more information about our fees, please refer to the Registration Form.

The kickoff for the season begins Monday, September 8th at St Matthias United Church (cnr Richmond and Richardson in Fairfield). At 6:00 p.m. there will be a social hour for former members to catch up and for newcomers to meet some members of the choir. There will be an orientation at 6:30 p.m. for those joining the choir for the first time. Warm up and rehearsal with Signi will begin at 7:00 p.m.

Please download the Registration form and bring to the first rehearsal. If you’re unable to print this file, there will be forms at the rehearsal until the end of September, when intake ceases.

If you are unsure at this time whether Inspirata is the right fit for you, please feel welcome to attend a rehearsal. Intake and registration will continue during the month of September.
